TS perfectly potato cheddar soup

You will need:

This recipe is what we call…Oh my gosh it’s 5 pm and I have nothing planned for dinner! Pour your TS soup mix, 4 cups of water, package of shredded cheddar cheese into a pot. Heat on stove for 20-30 minutes and tadaaa! Supper is done! We added frozen peas, corn, extra cheese and real bacon bits. Garnish with sour cream. Pairs perfectly with Bountiful Beer Bread or Parmesan Biscuits.

 

This recipe made enough for everyone in our family and we even have leftovers. See how much Jack liked it!? Doesn’t he just have the life….

Orange peels filled with jello

We found this idea on my SIL’s pinterest page and had to try it! Jack and I had so much fun making these plus its a great way to use up oranges that are about to go bad. We had a whole box to use up!

Oranges

You will need:

  • oranges
  • jello mix
  • knox gelatin

First cut the oranges in half and scrape out the insides. We hand juiced them all for fresh squeezed orange juice.

Then prepare your jello mix as indicated on the package but also add 1 package of Knox gelatin to each pack of jello mix. Put your orange peel halves in muffin tins so they will evenly set. Pour jello in orange peels and let set in the fridge for at least 4 hours. Slice and serve!

The best chili you will ever taste!

 

Chili

You will need:

  • 2 cans seasoned diced tomatoes
  • 1 can chili beans
  • 2 cans dark kidney beans
  • 1 can stewed seasoned tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 3-4 ribs of celery
  • 1 Tbsp. TS Onion Onion, or 1 small onion
  • 2 Tbsp. Wahoo Chili
  • 1 lb. ground lean ground beef
  • 1 can of beer

 

In a large pot dump first 5 ingredients and one tablespoon of Wahoo Chili seasoning -cover on low heat.

Chop celery into small pieces. In another pan pour beer, Onion Onion (or a chopped small onion), and celery pieces and simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes.

In yet another pan, brown your ground beef with 1 tablespoon of Wahoo Chili seasoning, do not drain. Combine beer/celery mixture with ground beef mixture.

Then combine your meat mixture into your chili pot. Let it cook on low heat, covered for at least 4 hours. Serve with buttered rye bread or crackers.

Paired perfectly with fresh veggies and dip.

Slow cooker pesto lasagna

 

Lasagna

 

You will need:

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook beef with Onion Onion until beef is no longer pink. Add Dried Tomato & Garlic Pesto Mix, sauce, water and paste and stir to blend. In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, parmesan and mozzarella. Spray your slow cooker with cooking spray. ( you can use a crock pot if that’s all you have but it is easier to use a rectangle slow cooker for lasagna .) Spoon a layer of meat mixture onto bottom of slow cooker. Add a double layer of uncooked lasagna noodles- break the noodles to fit slow cooker if needed. Top noodles with a portion of the cheese mixture, then top with meat mixture. Repeat the layering of noodles, cheese and meat sauce until all ingredients are used. Cook on low for 6 hours. Check halfway through cooking- if lasagna is too dry add 1/2 cup of water.

 

Best and easiest lasagna I have EVER made! Our whole family loved this!

Slow cooker garlic beef stroganoff

Stroganoff 

You will need:

  • 1 Tbsp. TS Garlic Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. TS Onion Onion
  • 1 1/2 lbs. beef stew meat, cubed
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 14.5 oz can of beef broth ( I used two beef bouillon cubes mixed with water)
  • 1 Tbsp corn starch
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
  • 8 oz onion & chive cream cheese
  • Wide egg noodles prepared

Combine first five ingredients in slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Combine cornstarch with cold water; stir until smooth. Whisk cornstarch mixture into slow cooker; stir until thickened. Add cream cheese just before serving; stir until well blended. Serve over hot egg noodles.

Another super easy slow cooker recipe that was delicious! Usually beef stroganoff is made with sour cream but the onion & chive cream cheese gave it a whole new taste! yum!
