Lambeau field

This past weekend was my birthday {the big 24}. Yippee skippy. This year I literally almost forgot about my birthday because it is right in between my 1 year old and 2 year old’s birthdays, which I was way more excited about! It seems that when you have a family, birthdays can feel like just any other day. It was quite the opposite for me this year. My family and friends made me feel incredibly special, loved, and most importantly, so blessed. Whether it was the simple cards in the mail, the birthday phone calls, {2} yummy cakes, too many really thoughtful presents, a birthday breakfast, homemade cards, or just being around friends and family, this year was special.

My wonderful husband planned a trip to Lambeau Field to watch our beloved Green Bay Packer’s practice. After a quick phone call to my dad, (who has some Packer connections), we ended up with VIP tickets to get a tour of the stadium and watch the practice from the sidelines! It was pretty awesome and quite possibly the best way I could have imagined spending my birthday. I spent all day with my three beautiful boys and all night with my best friend, amazed by Titletown USA. Thank you all for making my birthday extra special this year, and reminding just how much God has blessed me.

Here are some pics:

So if you have never been to a Green Bay Packer’s practice they do this really neat thing where little kids can bring their bicycles and the players will pick a random bike to ride to the practice field, while the kids carry their equipment. I remember bringing my bike as a kid in hopes that Reggie White would ride it!

This is the actual tunnel that the players come out onto the field through. The locker room is right around the corner. They even played the music for us and some fake crowd noise so we knew just what it was like for the players to come onto the field. This was my favorite part.

Beautiful Lambeau Field. Now, I would totally understand if you have jealous feelings towards my jacket, it is pretty rockin’. There is some really cool history behind it as well. It was a gift to my family from Nolan Cromwell (who played for the Rams and coached special teams for the Pack from 92-97) and his wife when they left Green Bay to head to Seattle with Mike Holmgren. Nolan’s wife made the jacket and wore it to 2 Packer super bowls! I decided it was the perfect thing to wear for this experience! Thanks dad for letting me borrow it!

Here is that best friend, amazing husband guy I was talking about, remember?

I wanted to post these pics just to show you how close I was to the players!

Look at that smile ladies!

Thanks for reading!
