It isn’t often that I find a book so inspiring that I feel the need to tell everyone I know about it. I usually like to keep my posts about 90% recipes, 8% projects & 2% life posts but I wanted to share a quick book recommendation with you guys. I read this book in one day, I couldn’t stop reading!
The book tells Immaculée Ilibagiza’s story of surviving the Rwandan Holocaust as she and seven other women hid in a bathroom for 91 days while they were being hunted by killers. Immaculée discovers the true power of prayer and just how present God is in every situation of our daily lives. She survives the experience not only alive, but with forgiveness towards the people who slaughtered her family and hunted her with machettes. I highly recommend this book to anyone, especially those of us who struggle with forgiveness and sometimes forget that God hears all of our prayers (which I think is all of us, right)?
A big thanks to my mother-in-law for recommending this book. (she actually got to meet Immaculée!) You can order this book here.
