You will need:
- 1 stick of butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon TS merlot sauce
- 1 tablespoon TS onion onion
- 2 tablespoons dijion mustard
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- small buns
- any kind of deli meat & cheese
Whisk butter, merlot sauce, onion onion, mustard & brown sugar together. Assemble buns, meat & cheese and place in a baking pan. Pour mixture over sandwiches, soaking them. Cover tightly and refrigerate to marinade for at least 5 hours or up to 24 hours. Uncover and bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
This is my new favorite, easy recipe! I was wowed by how good these are. I thought they would turn out soggy but they were not at all. The taste is indescribable. My husband told me I could start a restaurant with these sandwiches! This is a MUST TRY and would be perfect for family get-togethers. We have made them with roast beef, ham, cheddar cheese, swiss cheese and they were all amazing. I think you could serve just about anything on these fabulous buns and it would taste great! I found the idea here and changed the recipe a bit.
