Soft pumpkin cookies with cinnamon cream cheese frosting

This is the best fluffy pumpkin cookie recipe ever! The cinnamon cream cheese frosting is just perfection.

You will need

For the cookies:

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the frosting:
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup softened cream cheese
  • 2-3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • TS Cinnamon Caramel Sprinkles

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt in a bowl. Set aside. Cream together butter and sugar. Then add pumpkin, egg and vanilla; beat until creamy. Mix in the dry ingredients. Using a tablespoon, drop dough on cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Frosting: Cream butter and cream cheese together. Slowly add powdered sugar until creamy. Then add vanilla and cinnamon. Spread over cooled cookies. Top with Cinnamon Caramel Sprinkles.
