A couple of oily DIY gifts

This one is for my oily friends out there and fellow procrastinators, who need a last minute gift for a teacher/neighbor/mother-in-law or anyone really. If you already have the essential oils, all of these DIY gifts can be made with things you already have, or can get quickly, and cost very little to make. Plus they are totally awesome. I would love to receive any of these as a gift. Double plus, these are super easy and your kids will love to help you make them, especially if they are making them for their teachers.

I want to again say that I stand excessively behind Young Living essential oils and would not recommend using perfume grade oils for these type of gifts. If you want to know why, or learn more, check out this post or shoot me an email.

Lemon Kitchen Scrub: …I have been using this stuff for a couple weeks now and it’s the best. My hands are silky smooth and smell ahhhh-mazing.

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup kosher salt
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 10 drops lemon essential oil
  • wide mouth mini mason jar  (amazon prime these babies and they will be at your door in 2 days!)

Mix all ingredients together and scoop into mason jars. This recipe is enough for about 2 jars full.

Mint Sugar Scrub:

In a small mixing bowl, mix all ingredients together. You may need to warm the coconut oil on the stove for a few seconds to liquify it for mixing. Scoop it into the mason jars. This recipe makes about 2 jars full. Throw some bakers twine around the lid and slap on a cute tag. Donezo.

Room Sprays:

These are fantastic! They are safe for smelling but are also super fragrant which is hard to come by. I found the room spray recipes from The Prairie Homestead, but adjusted them slightly. She even has cute little printable tags you can attach to your bottles. These are the bottles I bought from Amazon.

Happy gift making!
