You will need:
- 1 lb. lean ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 Tbsp. TS Onion Onion
- 1/3 cup TS Dried Tomato & Garlic Pesto Mix
- 29 oz jar spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 oz can tomato paste
- 12 oz cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 16 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- 12 oz box lasagna noodles
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook beef with Onion Onion until beef is no longer pink. Add Dried Tomato & Garlic Pesto Mix, sauce, water and paste and stir to blend. In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, parmesan and mozzarella. Spray your slow cooker with cooking spray. ( you can use a crock pot if that’s all you have but it is easier to use a rectangle slow cooker for lasagna .) Spoon a layer of meat mixture onto bottom of slow cooker. Add a double layer of uncooked lasagna noodles- break the noodles to fit slow cooker if needed. Top noodles with a portion of the cheese mixture, then top with meat mixture. Repeat the layering of noodles, cheese and meat sauce until all ingredients are used. Cook on low for 6 hours. Check halfway through cooking- if lasagna is too dry add 1/2 cup of water.
