{crockpot} Smokey cheddar chicken over rice

For this recipe you will need the Smokey Cheddar Cheeseball mix from Tastefully Simple, which unfortunatley they don’t make anymore. :( So those of you who don’t already have this product, I would reccommend using either the Roasted Onion Warm Dip Mix or the Smoked Bacon Warm Dip Mix. If you decide to use either of those, I would just add more cheddar cheese to keep it cheesy. Let me know if this makes sense or if you have a question.

You will need:

Put the cream cheese in the crockpot to warm it up, on low heat. Mix cheese ball packet with cream cheese until smooth. Add chicken to the crockpot, smothering with cream cheese mixture. Add milk, onions, garlic garlic, bacon bacon, and cheese. Heat on low to medium heat for 5 hours or until chicken is cooked. Cut chicken into bite size pieces. Serve over rice and top with extra cheese.

This was so yummy on a cold winter night! We served it over white rice and broccoli on the side, topped with more cheese!

Goldfish topped rice cakes

Another great idea from Family Fun Magazine. What a great snack, and so fun to make with the kids!

You will need:

  • rice crackers or thin rice cakes
  • white cheese spread (article called for cream cheese..we opted to go a little healthier)
  • blue food coloring
  • veggies & fruit (we used celery, green beans & apples)
  • gold fish crackers
Use a few drops of blue food coloring to make the cheese the color blue you’d like. Then spread on crackers and top with fish, fruit & veggies! This would be great for a birthday party or after school snack!

Pepper steak over rice

Pepper steak

You will need:

Pound beef to tenderize. Cut beef into thin strips. Brown beef in oil in skillet.

Transfer to slow cooker. Combine soy sauce, Garlic Garlic, Onion Onion, sugar, salt, pepper and ginger in a bowl. Pour over meat.

Cover, cook on low for 5-6 hours. Add green peppers and tomatoes. Cook for another hour. Serve over your favorite rice.

I mainly just tried this recipe because it looked easy and I knew my husband would like it but WOW this was amazing! The steak had the best flavor! Highly recommend this one for your entire family!
