Thanksgiving leftover ideas

So we had an obscene amount of left overs this year for Thanksgiving. Which was awesome! But it got me thinking–how can I get creative with these leftovers? aka– how can I serve the same meal to my family for a week without them complaining? Here are some of the ways I used my leftovers! All of my Thanksgiving recipes will be posted soon…so keep an eye out for them!

Thanksgiving pie

Layer your Thanksgiving side dishes and turkey into a delicious pie! Here is how I layered mine.

Grease pie dish and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread an even layer of mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole and stuffing. Spoon pieces of scalloped corn casserole sporadically over the top. Then scatter pieces of turkey over that. Bake for 20 minutes and drizzle with warm gravy, serve warm.

Save one 9×13 pan with a row of all your leftovers in it so you can easily throw it in the oven to warm up. It totally beats warming up one dish at a time and then you don’t have to use the dreadful microwave.

 Thanksgiving meatloaf

Combine raw sirloin, celery, onion, merlot sauce, eggs and garlic garlic in a bowl. Mash it real good with your (clean) hands. {And yes. It has to be done with your hands. No spoon will ever be good enough!} Press into a lightly greased loaf pan. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and drizzle melted butter over the top.

Bake at 350 degrees for an hour.
