Tut tut, it looks like fall

This past weekend we set out to get more pumpkins and squash because you just can never have too many. Then we stopped at Ralph’s grandparents grave’s (Ralph& Lucille, who he is named after) and put some solar lights up because last time we had a hard time finding their headstones. I never got to meet them but I hear from everyone that they were the most wonderful people. Ralph has always been extremely honored to be named after his Grandpa Ralph. The cemetery is up by St Lawrence seminary which is beyond gorgeous, especially around this time of the year.

On the car ride there we told the kids we were going to visit Great Grandma Lucille and Great Grandpa Ralph and when we got there they were confused that they weren’t there to greet us. It was super cute. Jack asked when he gets to go to Heaven because he really wants to meet this Jesus guy.

Anyway. It is super gorgeous up there and we love visiting the seminary, and I wanted to share some of the pictures.

Oh! We also made 2 bottles of mulled wine this weekend. It was so yum. I used my cousin Michael’s recipe that has been a staple at our family holiday gatherings. Here is the recipe:

You will need:

  • 2 bottles red table wine
  • 2 tablespoons mulling spices
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 inch of ginger root
  • 1/2 cup sugar
Toss it all the the crock pot and heat on low for at least 3 hours. Serve warm.

Also, this happened.
